May 17: We Can Work It Out

This Sunday we head into the waters of relationships within the church. A great deal has been written about who is leaving the church and why, and how to keep the people there. With all the statistics, especially all the press the latest Pew Research (America’s Changing Religious Landscape) has been getting, what about the simple challenge of those who still DO go to church being able to get along with each other?

The text for this week is Galatians 6:1-10. St. Paul challenges this wayward community of Christians to get back on the right track. The letter concludes with very practical counsel on how to get along with each other.

Join us for worship as we explore the theme: Relations: We Can Work It Out.

Want to talk about sex, politics, spirituality? So do I. I grew up in a religious home in the 1950’s and 1960’s. Our country was reeling from assassinations and the devastation of the Viet Nam War. Looking for something beautiful, I got a degree in music, married the love of my life and had children. Looking for God, I then went to seminary. Looking for something that might transform the world, I became a local church pastor. Now, I’m always looking for people who want to talk about important things. I cherish conversations with emerging leaders, people who are antsy to try an idea they believe would change the world for the better. I’d would love to hear from you.
